I have been in the health and disability sector for over 20years. My passion and drive has never left me in striving to give people quality of life. I love working for Custom Care Nursing as Auckland’s Regional Service Coordinator because they provide me with the tools, independence and support to give the best service I can possibly give.

I am very family orientated and love to spend time with my mokopuna. In the warmer weather I love to ride my E Bike. I also love going to Art Galleries with my hubby.

I have worked in the healthcare industry since 2001. Prior to my role at Custom Care Nursing, I worked as a House Coordinator where I managed a team of Support Workers looking after people with physical disabilities to live independently in the community. I have had roles as House Leader, Acting Coordinator and as a Support Worker so I feel I can really put myself in my Support Workers shoes. While I was working, I studied part time at Unitec where I did my Diploma in Business and Management.

In 2017 I decided to take up the opportunity as Auckland Regional Service Coordinator for Custom Care Nursing’s Return to Independence Clients. Since joining CCN I have learnt different strategies to ensure my team is working efficiently and within the company policies and procedures, including meeting new Clients and Support Workers, participating in the Client’s meetings and cares, and team building at Head Office.

I love working in the healthcare industry because I enjoy making differences in people’s life’s. I like ensuring my Clients needs are met and seeing a smile on their faces when I leave their homes.

In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, gardening, spending time with family and friends and watching movies on Netflix.

I have been in the healthcare industry for 4 years most of that as a SW for custom care nursing then to become RSC

I love working for CCN because every day is different. Getting the right SW for the client is important to me and the appreciation that you get from clients makes it all worthwhile.

In my spare time I like to get out with nature and go bush walking or spend time with my grandchildren.

Moving into the role of regional coordinator has been a natural step after working in administration for many years and as a real estate salesperson, striving with my clients to achieve their personal goals.

I pride myself on providing the highest level of prompt customer service and have excellent communication skills, allowing me to relate well to a wide range of people.

My eldest daughter was born prematurely at 26 weeks, weighing in at 730 grams. Katie had a small chance of survival at birth, but we smashed that theory.  It has been a journey supporting her through the education system, health sector with many visits to hospital and meetings with health care providers.   Katie now lives independently in her Tauranga Community Housing unit with the assistance of her support carers.  She uses a wheelchair as her means of getting around, plays boccia and is a social butterfly getting out as much as she can around her daily chores.

A vital aspect I hold strong on with the word disability, is to cross out the dis and concentrate on ability.

I cherish my time catching up with family, friends, pottering at home and walking my dog, Rosa.

Hello, I am Catherine and I am your Regional Service Co-ordinator for Taranaki.

I have been involved in the health and disability industry for about 28 years. I have enjoyed many different and varied roles in the community, age care settings, disability, dementia and special needs units in schools

The heart of my passion has always been people and helping to empower them to live their lives in the best possible way they can.

I have been a support worker for many years and understand how valuable they are to the recovery and wellbeing of the clients.

I am delighted to be able to help support both clients as they progress through their recovery and regain their independence and the support workers who offer their care and help to empower the clients to achieve this.

I am deeply grateful to be offered this wonderful opportunity to be part of the CCN team.

I love walking and gardening. Quiet times of reading and Tai Chi. Mostly my time is taken up with a very understanding husband and caring for our French Bulldogs who think our home is their own special retirement village, set up just for them.

Hi everyone, I’m Delrae, Regional Service Coordinator for the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa.

I’ve spent much of my working life working in the health industry starting with the IHC in my early twenties and moving onto aged care later in life.

I started my nursing degree in 2006 graduating in 2008.  Since then I have worked in 3 different care facilities working with hospital, dementia and palliative clients.  I have training in wound care, restraint, catheter/stoma care and infection control.

I joined the CCN team in Feb 2018 as a casual support worker and RN.

I love helping people and the health care industry, hopefully making a difference in a client’s day.
I have enjoyed my time with CCN and find them a wonderful and welcoming company to work for.  I love their principals and enjoy being able to provide personalized care for our clients in their own homes.

I recently had the opportunity to meet the team at head office and was made to feel welcome and instantly as part of the team.  What a wonderful team!

I am looking forward to the challenges my new role of Regional Service Coordinator will bring and hopefully I can live up to expectations. I was born and raised in the Wairarapa, where I still live.  I have a large blended family, with the youngest being 16 and the only one still at home.  In my spare time I enjoy sewing, knitting, gardening and fishing.

Hi Everyone, I am Roxy, Regional Service Coordinator for the Wellington region.

I am from South Africa and immigrated to New Zealand in 2018.  I achieved a Diploma in General Nursing in South Africa and worked as a registered nurse at a private health facility living out my passion in Palliative care in Oncology.

I have been in a caregiver/support worker role for the past two and a half years in NZ.  It has been so fulfilling and I believe it has prepared me for my new role with Custom Care Nursing.

It is so amazing and exciting to be part of an organisation that provides exceptional rehabilitation and home-based care, and which assists clients to reach and exceed their goals. The team is like a family where everyone helps one another. I am really PROUD to be a part of the CCN team!

When I’m not at work, I enjoy doing outdoor activities like fishing, gardening, and camping. My passion is client/patient advocacy, helping and making a difference in others’ lives.

Regional Service Coordinator - South Island
Email: helen@customcarenursing.co.nz

My name is Helen Jefferies, I have been in the health sector for 40 plus years.

Trained as a nurse in a hospital setting, then transferred and worked out of a Psychiatric Unit, and assisted people with an Intellectual Disability move into the community, assisting and working beside them to achieve their goals of living in a community setting.

I started Woking with Custom Care Nursing 3 years ago in Christchurch as the South Island Coordinator.

I enjoy working and helping people recover from their injury and ensuring that they get all the help and assistance they require to make a full recovery. I like meeting different people from all walks of life and listening to their stories as they progress through their recovery.

Some of the Clients struggle at the start, trying to maintain their independence, and they are so grateful for the assistance that we can provide to take the some of the burden off them. They welcome the support of their SW when they arrive at their home to assist their recovery.

It is so rewarding to get such positive feedback from Clients as to the wonderful staff that have supported them through difficult times back to independence. They say that they could have done it without their support.

For my down time, I bred and show dogs. I enjoy competing in dog shows with my dogs, and I travel around the county to the dog shows. I have a large section, and I potter in the garden when time and weather permits. The dogs love to assist by removing plants that I have put in. When I am not looking of course.
